- Shimane Kanoashi-gun Tsuwanocho Ushirodaguchi 343 JR Tsuwano Sta. Konai
- A restaurant located inside JR Tsuwano Station. It sells a number of ekiben boxed lunches, including Kashiwameshi Bento, the Tsuwano classic, as well as udon noodles, soba noodles, etc. The Kyushu style kashiwameshi boxed lunch has colorful, eye-catching omelet strips with shredded nori seaweed and ground chicken on top of seasoned rice. The simple ekiben boxed lunch comes with rolled kelp, tsukudani preserves, and simmered nimono. They also sell a mildly flavored Makunouchi boxed lunch, a seasonal boxed lunch featuring wild vegetables, and a crab sushi boxed lunch (some boxed lunches must be ordered in advance).

- "The factory-direct bento sales shop is about 10 minutes' drive from Matsue Chuo Interchange off the San'in Expressway. They have made and sold bento boxes made with respect for the local water, soil, and history since their founding in 1901. They follow the slogan ""100 years of Matsue Flavor at Ichimonjiya"" and they are marked by their long tradition of ""memorable meals"" made to delight all five senses. They offer local Izumo specialties like their Shimanegyu Sukiyaki Don rice bowl, made with soft-shell turtle soup, unpasteurized Matsue honey and natural local soy sauce, is a luxurious, filling delight. In addition to standard station bentos like Kanimeshi crab rice, and Shimanegyu Misotamadon bowls, they also offer a daily lunch special made with local vegetables bought every morning direct from the auction at Matsue Godo Seika market."

Shimane Areas
What Shimane prefecture lacks in size and population, it makes up for in scenery and ancient mythology. Izumo-taisha, in the middle of the prefecture, is said to be Japan’s oldest Shinto shrine, where stories that delve into the creation of the Japanese race have been passed down over centuries. The 180 Oki Islands, a 40-minute ferry ride north of Sakaiminato, offer an undiscovered paradise well off the beaten track.
