They have been cultivating semi-spherical pearls since 1923. The many different kinds of accessories made with only the highest quality selected pearls are original products produced by the hands of skilled craftsmen. Their colorful designs complementing the glow of the natural pearls are particularly outstanding. When booking in advance visitors can have a go at making small accessories of their own in the pearl workshop. The well-established shop with its retro decor is also a sight worth seeing in itself.

Spread across the eastern side of the Kii Peninsula, Mie prefecture boasts hundreds of kilometers of pretty coastline comprising the oyster-rich Toba city and Shima National Park all the way down to Kumano, a city that marks the beginning of part of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, which runs into neighboring Wakayama prefecture. However, Mie is best known for the Ise Jingu Shinto shrine inland, one of the oldest and largest shrines in the country.
