Even young children have fun at these programs. They also hold mosaic art and tile painting programs available with advance reservation. It's also a great place to make one of a kind souvenirs like wedding boards.

    This facility seven minutes from Nagaura Interchange on the Nishi Chita Sangyo Road lets you experience the fun of weaving by hand. It's in the Okada area, known for its Chita momen cotton textile tradition that's been passed on since the Edo period. It's housed in a cotton storehouse built between the late Meiji and early Taisho periods. Anyone can make items like lunch mats and coasters with ease in their sakiori weaving workshop that incorporates old thinly cut fabric. Another program lets you make traditional plain navy blue or striped hiraori weave. Visitors with reservations get priority treatment.
