In the beachside barbecue area, you can grill fish, shellfish, meats, and enjoy dessert as well. The cafeteria has tables and tatami mat seating where you can enjoy a slow and relaxed meal. This bean jam cake shop is an eight-minute walk from Tokoname Station. Its flagship item is “Okura-mochi,” which is made from rice cakes stuffed with mugwort sprouts and wrapped in Hokkaido-produced red bean paste. In the adjoining café, you can enjoy their famous rice cakes as well as “zenzai” (red bean soup with grilled rice cakes), “anmitsu” (syrup-covered bean jam and fruit), Japanese parfaits, and more. The super-sized shaved ice is their most popular item, and it comes in flavors available year-round such as “Uji milk with red beans” made with green tea from Nishio, and “Yuzu milk” with a citrus scent from Uwajima.

いちご大福を買いに、初めて入店しました。美味しそうなお餅や大福・最中・羊羹など品揃えがたくさんでした。持ち帰って、いちご大福と沖縄の黒糖を使った窯屋と言う大福をいただきました。次回は、中庭を眺めながら、甘味を楽しみたいです。

This patisserie and cafe sits in a great location on top of a hill overlooking Mikawa Bay in Mihama Town, Chita County, Aichi Prefecture. On crossing the small bridge from the parking lot, passing along the small path with green everywhere, and reaching the top of the stairs, an open terrace with gorgeous blue sea view greets the visitor. In the exotic white-walled house is a space full of colorful French confections like a box of jewelry. Cake and parfait with plenty of fruits from Mihama are popular, as well as the seasonal sweets.

河和駅から歩いて10分程でした。ちょっと階段があるので足が不自由な方には不便かもしれませんが、雰囲気はあります。ゆっくりと紅茶やパフェを楽しめました。店内で売られてるクッキーやケーキも美味しそうでした。

This is a BBQ spot in Wonder Forest Curio at Aeon Mall Tokoname. Designed with a beach resort in mind, it is distinctive for its white sand area that looks like a seaside swimming area. Children can play in the sand, so can be kept amused while the BBQing is happening. Ingredients are on sale and utensils are available for hire, so visitors can get started straight away on their BBQ even if they arrive empty handed. The BBQ spot is well positioned, right by Rinku Tokoname Station on the Meitetsu Airport Line.

The conger eel of their anago sushi is tender and fatty and is so popular that people come from as far away as Tokyo to get some. Their sashimi futomaki rolls and seafood chirashi-zushi come recommended.

A popular eatery on Himakajima Island, about 10 minutes from Morozaki Port by high-speed boat. It's been in business for 60 years, featured in the media many times and visited by lots of celebrities too. They offer a variety of dishes using fresh local ingredients, including their Himakajima inspired Takobutsu Meal Set and their Kakiage Rice Bowl with lots of shrimp and octopus. They also operate a guest house where you can ease your fatigue away while watching the sunset into sea from their top-floor bath.

The second-floor café fuses East and West to evoke a nostalgic atmosphere. There are single-plate dishes as well as handmade curried rice, lunch sets, and sweets.

GWの翌週に常滑の焼きもの散歩道を歩いた時、飲食店は定休日ではないにもかかわらずほとんど休業で、開いていたこの店に入りました。民家風のお店で、野菜をふんだんに使ったお洒落な料理のランチでしたが、私の口には今一つでした。
