The facility’s waters, welling up from a spring 1,500 meters underground, are highly alkaline and renowned for their skin beautifying properties. Seoto-no-Yu’s indoor bath is constantly replenished with free-flowing waters from the hot spring source, and from here you can enjoy seasonal scenery just beyond the bathhouse windows; at night in the outdoor bath, you can take in a star-filled sky. The facility also offers private bathing rooms which you can enjoy all to yourself (reservation required).

    A day trip hot spring bath facility opened in 1996 in Hinode Town, Nishitama County, Tokyo. “Tsurutsuru” means ‘smooth’ in Japanese, and just as its name implies, the highly alkaline waters of the facility’s baths, drawn from 1,500 meters below the ground, will make your skin noticeably smoother. In the bathhouse’s spacious, 108 tatami mat-sized “panorama” restaurant, sunlight filters in between the trees outdoors through large windows; here you can enjoy a set which comes with Akigawa beef served on a Japanese hackberry leaf or Masakado nabe hotpot with Ome pork.

    A day-trip hot spring where visitors can enjoy 100% hot spring water drawn from the source of Okutama Onsen welling up from the paleozoic layer, believed to be the oldest strata in the Japanese archipelago. The hot spring has an indoor bath, a foot bath, and an open-air bath. From the window of the indoor bath and from the bath outside visitors can look out over the mountains and trees of Okutama and the clear waters of the Tamagawa River. There is also a restaurant where visitors can get some unique Okutama dishes, such as Okutama nekkara (very spicy) udon and soba, and salt-grilled river fish, making it a great place to relax and enjoy all day long.

    "A hot spring bathhouse connected directly to the North Entrance concourse of Kabe Station on the JR Ome Line in Ome City, Tokyo. The waters of the bathhouse' alkaline spring are said to ease muscle soreness and aid in the recovery from fatigue; slippery to the touch, they are also believed to beautify the skin. Facilities include a hinoki cypress tub constantly replenished ""kakenagashi"" style from the source spring, an elegant rock bath, wooden trellis bath, and lie down bath, and customers can enjoy a relaxing soak which will warm them to the very core. There's also an aroma beauty sauna, aesthetic bath, and body care and eyelash extension center."

    青梅線河辺駅を出るとすぐに分かります。 平日は高齢者の憩いの場、休日は奥多摩方面の観光客が立ち寄っている感じです。 駅近のため浴室がやや狭く、肝心の天然温泉の浴槽も少なくて残念です。 しかし、泉質はツルニュル感がありました。 脱衣所も狭くて動線が悪いです。 もうちょっとお客を考えたレイアウトにした方がよいと思います。

    三頭山に登った後に訪れました。受付の男性がとても穏やかな方で、バス停の場所も丁寧に教えてくださいました。お風呂のお湯の温度も丁度良く、登山の汗を流すことができました。ただ、内湯、露天風呂共にもう少し広いとゆったりできるかも。

    少しだけ熱めで、塩素臭があまりしないお湯でした。 知ってる人も意外と少ないらしく、普段は比較的空いてる様です。風呂の後は大広間でくつろげて、気持ち良くリフレッシュ出来ました。 料金は少し安めの800円。住民割引料金は羽村市の住民だけでなく、周りの市や町の住民なら大人500円でした。利用しませんでしたが、トレーニングルームも込みだそうです。

    An ancient hot spring area which has been in use since the distant Nanboku-cho period. The area’s therapeutic hot spring bathhouses and source spring were submerged at the bottom of Lake Okutama with the building of Ogouchi Dam in 1957. In response to local residents and hot spring enthusiasts seeking the continued existence of this historic hot spring area, a facility was constructed in 1991 to pump the waters of the source spring up from the ground, restoring it to its former glory.
