- Negima nabe is a one-pot dish made with leeks and tuna toro, and was invented in the Edo period (1603-1867) to make use of toro that was not suitable for marinating in soy sauce. At Asakusa Shuzen Ichibun Honten, Negimanabe is served with bigeye tuna or tuna kamatoro (fatty tuna) stewed in a pot. Kamatoro has a characteristic of being stringy, which makes it difficult for the fat to drain off as it is stewed, allowing the broth to soak in thoroughly. In addition, plenty of Edo vegetables are used, especially Senju leeks, which do not easily fall apart when cooked.

This place, in an old wood house, is perfect to discover a refined and delicious Japanese food. Octopus and Wagyu beef were perfect.

- "Yoshiwara was the birthplace of the horse meat eating culture, and was also the place where the customers of the brothels enjoyed sakura-nabe. ""Sakura-nabe Nakae,"" established in 1905, uses horse meat raised in Kurume, Kyushu, with soy sauce and miso sauce added to the broth. The restaurant also offers vegetables such as shirataki mushrooms and edonese greens made exclusively for sakura nabe. Nakae's sakura nabe is a traditional style of serving: horse meat is stewed, vegetables are added, and finally, a beaten egg is mixed into the warishita and served on top of rice. The 100-year-old restaurant still retains the atmosphere of the Meiji era."

Tokyo Areas
The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
