  일본에서 현존하는 가부키 극장 가운데 가장 오래된 곳이라 하더라구요.1층 무대도 재밌지만 지하에 내려가서 배우들이 어떻게 오르내리는지 보는 것도 쏠쏠한 재미. 지금도 1년에 16일간 가부키 공연이 열린다고 하는데, 과거와 현대의 공존을 보는 것 같아 나름 재미있는 곳입니다. 곤피라궁을 갔다가 내려온 후 꼭 가보길 강추!!

  Just the building to see, no props. A short tour in english and then you can wonder around yourself, trying to image what it would be like during a performance.

  Very helpful, informative, friendly and available guide/receptionist in English (and other languages).We wish we could attend a performance there someday in April. Very worth the visit.
