도야마현 도야마시 외곽의 구레하야마 산에 있는 조동종의 사원 본존은 '사쿠라다니 다이부츠'라 불리는 대불이었지만, 1870년 경도야마번의 명에 따라 소실되어 현재는 부처의 머리만 자리하고 있다. 경내 뒷편에는 500여개의 석불들이 산봉우리를 향해 세워져 있으며, 그 평온한 표정은 찾는 사람들의 마음을 달래준다. 이 부근 일대는 벚꽃 명소로서도 알려져 있으며, 벚꽃 철에는 지역사람들과 관광객들로 매우 붐빈다.
