에도 시대 초기에 세워진 마쓰에죠 성은 별명 '치도리죠 성'이라고도 불리며, 천수각은 국보로 성 유적은 국가 사적으로 지정되어 있다. 광대한 성 유적은 본성과 제2성이 정비되어 '마쓰에조잔 공원'이 되었으며, 벚꽃과 성을 동시에 감상할 수 있는 '일본 벚꽃 명소 100선'에도 선정되었다. 왕벚꽃과 올벚꽃, 산벚꽃 등 다양한 벚꽃들이 흐드러지게 피는 모습은 숨이 멈출 정도로 아름답다. 천수각은 22시까지 경관조명이 비추어져 환상적인 풍경을 감상할 수 있다.

The walk through Jozan Park afterwards to Shiomi Nawate street was lovely, peaceful and well sign-posted. The mossy tree roots on some of the trees were beautiful.
Nice stroll around the caste

Enjoy a stroll before or after going to the castle.There was a nice flower festival when I visited, and I enjoyed a relaxing break from all the walking around.

Although it lacks the grandeur of the parks of larger castles, its well maintained, and we saw it before the Lantern festival (held in early autumn), when it was all dolled up. A nice lead-up to the...
