HIROSHIMA ORIZURU TOWER (Orizuru Tower)
This shopping center is adjacent to the Genbaku Dome (Atomic Bomb Dome) in Naka Ward, Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture. It opened in 2014 in a renovated office building that had been built in 1978. The roof features an open-air observation deck with a roof that offers a great view of the Genbaku Dome, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, the townscape, and Miyajima Island. Inside, there are the “folded paper crane wall,” to which people can contribute their own cranes, cafe, and a souvenir hall with over 1,000 different types of Hiroshima souvenirs.
