This soba shop, open since 1912, hand-makes soba with select ingredients. The dashi broth they use has not changed since the beginning. It's in a remodeled kominka (old Japanese-style house) private house that is 130 years old, and in addition to tables they have traditional open-hearth rooms that preserve a sense of history. We recommend the Shotaro Kaiseki meal, with an appetizer, steamed dish, soba crepe, and soba noodles.

お目当ての有名店が早々に完売で閉めてしまい、途方に暮れていた所、観光案内所の人がこちらを薦めてくれました。新型ウィルスの影響か、土曜の昼下がりもすいていましたが、その分落ち着いてゆったりおそばを楽しめました。田舎そばの天せいろは、蕎麦の香りも良く、こしもあって好みの風味でした。添えられた天ぷらもどっさり。店の方も明るくフレンドリーでした。

ランチで利用しました。ランチメニューのような写真付きのメニューもありましたが、いかんせん待たせすぎです。からあげ定食を食べましたが味も普通です。

行きたかったお店が定休日でこちらへ。そば専門店というわけではなく、ごはんものなどもメニューにありました。そばは更科、二八、田舎そばから選ぶ感じです。田舎そばの天せいろを頂きました。天ぷらはかなりのボリューム。ミニトマトまで天ぷらになってました。しかしそばつゆがいかにも薄すぎ。天つゆはそれ以上に薄すぎ。なので、お塩を頂いて、天ぷらにかけて食べました。
