Hikotaki Daimyojin Shrine

Shrine
This Shinto shrine’s principal object of worship is a figure of a white snack considered one of the Three Goddesses of Toba. The Shrine is popularly known as “Hikotaki-san.” A lovely river flows alongside the approach to the shrine and continues on into its grounds. Past the torii gate lie the upper reaches of the clear stream, and an elegant sacred rope hangs over its waters. The shrine is believed to grant benefits such as alleviating women’s ailments and safe childbirth.
