This museum is made in the style of an ancient log storehouse reminiscent of the Shosoin (treasure house). It was established in 1980 so as to properly convey the prospering local culture and history to future generations as part of a port town that inherited its culture from the Jomon period. From all over the area centered on the Ipponmatsu Ruins, they have on display artifacts from everyday life that have been classified as tools used in daily life, farming tools, mountain woodcutting tools, and fishing gear.

小さなミュージアム

国道101号沿い、深浦町役場のすぐそばにある小さなミュージアムです。これといって特筆すべき展示物はありませんでしたが、落ち着いた良いアトモスフィアが感じられました。個人的には、屋外敷地のはずれのほうにある猿神鼻洞門が非常に興味深かったですね。

郷土資料館に興味があるので、立ち寄りました。深浦町役場の前にあります。深浦という町の成り立ちに興味があったのですが、展示物や歴史の説明などの資料はいまひとつ少なく、期待はずれでした。しかも写真撮影も一切禁止もどうかと思います。
絵画や古墳の発掘物、農機具まで

深浦町に関係するものを集めた美術館、民族資料館が一緒になり、黒瀧家所蔵の蓑虫山人の展示会が素晴らしかった。絵画だけでなく、古墳も農機具なども農機具、漁師の道具と集められていました。
