Lake Nojiri Fireworks Festival

Event
One of the oldest fireworks festival, held since 1920s, this traditional festival is one of those held earliest in the year in the Hokushin Region. In addition to the lake surface starmine fireworks, the submerged starmine that dashes along the surface is distinctive to this fireworks festival. On the day of the fireworks festival many events are held in nearby facilities, including bare handed fish-catching, brass ensembles, and drum performances. Another name for Lake Nojiri is Lake Fuyo, confederate rose, because of its shape being similar to that of the leaf of the flower. The acoustic sounds that sound across the waters are an especially powerfully sensational.
