Yokohama Municipal Kanazawa Zoo
Yokohama Municipal Kanazawa Zoo in Kanazawa Nature Park in Kanazawa Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture is surrounded by one of the most lush forests in the city. It is popular as a zoo where you can encounter popular animals such as elephants and giraffes as well as rarely seen herbivorous animals. Some 2,000 cherry blossom trees are planted, and flowers, mainly Yoshino cherries with a range of varieties such as hill cherries and weeping cherries come into full bloom in spring. It is closed every Monday and is open from 9:30 to 16:30 (last admission at 16:00). The admission fee is 500 yen for adults and 300 yen for high school students and youth and 200 yen for junior high school and elementary school students. Shops, toilets and paid parking available.
