Philosopher遯カ蜀ア Walk

Event
A path good for strolling the roughly two kilometers from Nyakuoji Shrine to the entrance at Ginkaku-ji Temple within the Sakyo Ward of Kyoto, this walkway got its name because it was loved by Kitaro Nishida and other philosophers. The hundreds of Yoshino cherry trees planted along the canal bloom early each April, forming a beautiful tunnel and creating a romantic view to enjoy. The famous Kansetsu-zakura—a cherry tree connected with Japanese painter Hashimoto Kansetsu—grows new leaves as it blooms. Parking available nearby.
