Okozu Bunsui
Selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots, this area features rows of cherry trees along the Okozu Bunsui embankment of the Shinano River—which flows through Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture. From mid to late April, you can enjoy the incredible natural beauty of these 3,000 Yoshino cherry trees adorning this grand river. The trees are illuminated at night during peak season. A lot of visitors show up for the exquisite Bunsui Oiran Douchu Courtesan Procession, held on the third Sunday in April. Toilets, shops and parking available.
