Asuwayama Amusement Park

Event
Selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots, this famous spot in Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture is profuse with roughly 3,500 sakura trees throughout 116.5-meter-high Mt. Asuwa. There are many facilities throughout the park, including athletic fields, a mini zoo, Asuwa-jinja Shrine, a memorial museum of literature, and a botanical garden. From early to mid-April, the Yoshino cherries, the hill cherries, and the weeping cherries bloom as if in competition—great for picnics and walks with the family. The Fukui Spring Festival is held during the blooming season, and the trees are illuminated at night. Toilets, shops and parking available.
