Hiyoriyama Park
This park is located along the Kyukitakami River Estuary in the central part of Ishinomaki City, sitting in the hills that provide wonderful views of the whole city. It nurtures roughly 400 cherry trees, most notably Yoshino cherry trees, and has been a famous spot for cherry trees since the Edo period. The 1.2-kilometer pathway is lit up every mid-April, making this area a popular date spot with a great nighttime view.
