Fujikawaguchiko Hot spring village

Hot Spring / Hot Spring Bath
A new hot spring village and the closest to Mt. Fuji, located on the north bank of Lake Kawaguchi, one of the Fuji Five Lakes. The four hot springs named Reimine no Yu, Tensui no Yu, Reisui no Yu, and Fuyo no Yu in 1992 have collectively come to be called the Fujikawaguchiko Onsenkyo (“Fuji Lake Kawaguchi Hot Spring Village”). The waters of these sulfate springs are said to alleviate nerve pain and sensitivity to cold. In addition to hot spring hotels, there are day trip hot spring bathhouses in the village, and visitors can enjoy touring the area’s different, distinctive baths, including baths with sweeping views of Mt. Fuji, outdoor baths which overlook Unoshima Island floating in the middle of Lake Kawaguchi, and open and airy outdoor baths replete with facilities for drinking the local health promoting hot spring waters. Other area highlights include the Oishi Tsumugi Traditional Crafts Museum, where you can try traditional Japanese crafts; and Yagizaki Park and Oishi Park, where the Kawaguchiko Herb Festival is held in early summer, making this a destination where visitors can have fun year round.
