This ski resort is located about 20 minutes by car on the Zao Echo Line from Togatta Onsen. Besides skiing, they offer a variety of activities such as snowshoe trekking, snow monster (snow bound tree) viewing tours, and tours up to Mt. Zao’s snowy crater. It’s fun for the whole family with many slopes for everyone from beginners to advanced level skiers. From Kumowaku Terrace on the roof of the rest house you can enjoy a meal while taking in the amazing view of clouds welling up from the Kumowaku Valley.

Snow monsters park

I likes the monsters car but if can introduce in english will be better , took 45min depart and 45min return + 30min for picture sessions its not enough for our two group families (8ppl). Its windy...
値は張るが樹氷は一見の価値あり

蔵王樹氷の宮城県側が見られるスキー場。今年は雪が少なかったようで樹氷を見られる機会は限られていたが何とか幸運にも見られた。樹氷を見るためには樹氷源と呼ばれる山の上まで行かねばならず雪上車のツアーに参加するが、これがかなり高い。先導者や安全管理にコストがかかるので仕方ないが、これで見られなかった人はかなりショックなはず。それでも見る価値があるのが樹氷。凄いの一言

2020年は暖冬のため2/24現在、樹氷を見ることはできませんが、美しい景色に変わりはありません。この後、降雪量が増えてくるといわゆる樹氷に育っていくかもしれません。但し山頂はこの日で-10°cでしたので防寒対策は念入りに^ ^
