This public bathhouse is a five-minute walk from JR Yufuin Station. Situated along one of the city's main streets, the bathhouse is a favorite destination for tourists as well as locals. You can pay your entry fee by putting money in the box under the statue of Bhaisajyaguru at the entrance. The bathhouse makes use of a colorless, odorless, mildly alkaline simple hot spring. Both the men's and women's bathing areas have two baths of different temperatures, ensuring those who don't like very hot baths need not worry. There's a reception hall on the second floor which can be used for a separate fee. The bathhouse sells shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and towels.

しっとりとした浴感の単純泉がかけ流し

JR久大本線由布院駅からほど近い場所にある日帰り温泉です。料金は建物に入ってすぐにある薬師如来像にお賽銭の形で支払います。湯は湯布院の湯らしい単純泉がかけ流し。メタケイ酸の含有量も高く、しっとりとした浴感です。
湯布院の日帰り温泉は要注意

ＧＷの由布岳登山の帰りに湯布院に寄りましたが、日帰り温泉はどこも3時か4時には終了するようで、乙丸温泉館を紹介してもらいました。湯質は少ししっとりするくらいで、温泉のさわりを感じる程度でした。古くから営業しているようで、くつろげます。但し、石けん、シャンプーはないので要注意。

湯温が最適で、浴槽も広く清潔で、快適。おまけに驚くほど安い。駐車場もあります。着替え置き場、鍵なしなので、貴重品は気をつけましょう。
