Satoyama Onsen Shikisai no Yu

This day-use hot spring bathhouse, a 15-minute drive from the Kokonoe Interchange on the Oita Expressway, has 10 completely separate family bath buildings on its 3,000 square meter grounds. In one of the bathhouse' entirely private semi-outdoor baths, you can enjoy a relaxing soak while taking in a view of the rural scenery sprawling at the foot of Mt. Hane. The bathhouse' baths are supplied with free-flowing alkaline spring water which is gentle on the skin and which is adjusted to the perfect temperature utilizing a passive cooling system built from natural materials. The bathhouse also has two baths which incorporate universal design principles. The waters of the bathhouse' salt spring are said to treat such ailments as nerve pain, muscle soreness, sensitivity to cold, and fatigue.
