アーケード街の中になる店舗で、地元の人以外は一寸分かり辛い場所でした。店内に並ぶ商品はどこも同じで、今回は柏餅を購入しました。つぶあんとこしあんの両方が並び好みの商品を選択出来るようになっていました。
玉椿が有名なお店

姫路城近くの商店街にある伊勢屋本店。お店の看板商品である玉椿ののぼりがあるので、場所はすぐにわかります。玉椿のばら売りはなく6個入りから売られていました。赤穂などの名物、塩味饅頭もありました。玉椿は上品なお菓子で、姫路お土産の定番です。

今から３００年以上も前の元禄年間創業の老舗菓子舗です。姫路を代表する風雅な銘菓「玉椿」を製造販売しています。求肥を椿の花びらに、餡を花芯に見立てた菓子で、薄紅色のやわらかな求肥と、白小豆を使ったコクのある黄身餡の調和が絶妙でした。姫路藩の家老、河合寸翁が命名したとのことで、長く藩の御用菓子に用いられていたとのことです。
