Tsugemikumari Jinja

This Shinto shrine is located in Tsugetomoda-cho, Nara City. The shrine is primarily dedicated to Hayaakitsuhiko-no-Mikoto, Amenomikumaru-no-Kami, and Kuninomikumari-no-Kami. Viewed as a water shrine since ancient times, it is also counted as one of the Four Water Shrines of Nara along with Uda Mikumari Shrine, Yoshino Mikumari Shrine, and Katsuragi Mikumari-jinja Shrine. The shrine's main shrine building is a single bay shrine in the Kasuga-zukuri style with hinoki bark thatching; built in the mid-Muromachi period, today it has been designated a National Important Cultural Property.
