Heidenji Temple

Temple
The present main hall was rebuilt in 1786 by Tanuma Iiji, lord of the Sagara domain, after being destroyed by fire at the end of the Warring States period. The Imperial Edict, designated as a National Treasure, is not open to the public, but a replica can be seen at the Makinohara City Archives, a five-minute drive away.
