Owakudani Ubako Nature Sightseeing Footpath

This nature trail stretches for about one kilometer from Owakudani to Ubako Onsen. Although the descent from Owakudani is a little steep, it is easy to walk because the distance is relatively short. It takes about 30 minutes to walk the path. It is a great place to take a stroll while admiring the lush greenery of plants such as maiden silvergrass, Japanese knotweed, Japanese beech and tall stewartia. It is said that June and July, when the tall stewartia flowers are in full bloom, and October and November, when the autumn leaves are at their best, are the best times to visit.
