Cafe Sakura no Yakata

This Japanese-style cafe, located 15 minutes from the Kawanabe Interchange on the Ibusuki Skyline via national Route 225, stands on the bank of a pond in Iwaya Park and commands a view of the nearby Kiyomizu Magaibutsu. The cafe is located inside the Ginkakuji-style Sakura no Yakata building, and enwrapped in its atmospheric air, customers can enjoy Japanese-style desserts such as the Bonji Roll cake inspired by Sanskrit characters; and nuikui mochi, a local Kawanabe specialty. From the observation deck and gallery on the second floor, visitors can take in a sweeping view of the Kiyomizu Magaibutsu and the garden.
