Former Kurosawa Residence

A historic building in Narahara, Ueno, Tano County. This was the residence occupied by generations of the family that served as village officials for Kamiyamago, one of the three Sanchu-ryo villages held as the Shogun's land during the Edo period. The house is a large two-story gabled roof design centered around a huge 31 tatami mat living room with a large number of other smaller tatami rooms. The house has been designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan.

かなり良い状態で保存されており、管理に携わる方のご苦労が忍ばれます。多くの方は車で行かれると思いますが、駐車場は隣に4台分くらいと、徒歩2分くらいの場所にも第２駐車場があります。観覧してもさほど時間はかからないので、混雑はあまりしない模様です。駐車は無料です。正直、上野村の歴史的な知識は皆無でしたが、観覧して学ぶことが多くありますた。慰霊の園も車で5分ほどですので、併せて参拝されるこ...

江戸時代の庄屋の大木造宅です。狭い道を通っていかないといけないので、車で行く方は注意。観光客が少なく、ゆっくりと見れました。受付のおばちゃんが、親切でいろんなお話を聞くことができました。
国の重文の旧家

江戸末期の大総代の旧家が大変に良い保存状態で残っています。国の重要文化財にもなっており養蚕、機織り、紙漉き等富岡製糸場にもつながっていくようなこのエリアの過去を見せてくれます。近くを流れる川沿いの枝垂れ桜も見事、訪れた日の夜はライトアップもされていてとてもきれいでした、
