仙崎から青海島をずっとドライブしていった先のほうでした。建物前に狭いですが、4,5台分の駐車場があります。土地が狭い場所なのできれいに車を停めないとあとの人が困りそうな広さでした。入場券は200円で、これは展示内容よりも単純に人件費かなと思いました。展示は2階で、このあたりの沿海くじら漁の歴史をみることができます。唐津(呼子)にもこういう施設がありますが、あちらと比べると内容が少ないかなと感じまし...

ツーリングで訪れました。静かな港町の当時のクジラ漁を伝える施設です。展示もなかなか見応えもあり、古代クジラ漁のことがよく分かります。係のひとに勧められて、すぐ裏にあるクジラ墓も見てきました。クジラの胎児に情けをかけて弔ったお墓です。生活の糧であったクジラですが、この地の人たちの機微を感じました。
