Seishun Kokyo Pagoda
A monument in Haikara'tto Yokocho on National Route 9 in Arukapoto, Shimonoseki City. It was completed in 2003 by the sculptor Kiichi Sumikawa who also oversaw the design of the Tokyo Sky Tree. The roughly 10-meter high stone pillars are reminiscent of two swords, expressing the camaraderie of Takasugi Shinsaku and Sakamoto Ryoma, who dreamed of a new era.
