Kadogawa Town, located in northern Miyazaki Prefecture, has been famous for its marine products since ancient times. Mizunaga Suisan, located in Kadogawa, utilizes the fresh fish caught there to produce chirimen dried whitebait, hirakiboshi split and whole dried fish, dried sardines, and more. The company's kamaage shirasu whitebait, made with natural salt and deep sea salt, goes perfectly with rice and has won the Special Prize over and over again in the Zensui Kakoren (National Federation of Fish Processors).
