Yasugi Park (Shanichi Park)
A park on a hill southwest of Yasugi Station, about five minutes from Yasugi Interchange. It is one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in the prefecture, with about 450 Yoshino cherry trees throughout the park. They bloom from late March to early April. The park hosts an early April Cherry Blossom Festival as well as an event related to Watanabe Oito who popularized Yasugi-bushi, a famous Yasugi folk song. The blossoms are illuminated with paper lanterns in the evening during the cherry blossom festival, creating a magical ambience. It's also a well-known place for viewing azaleas in bloom and the colorful foliage of autumn.
