Mt. Kumano dake
This is one of the peaks in the Zao Mountain Range. At 1,841 meters above sea level, this is the tallest peak in the Zao range, which crosses the Miyagi and Yamagata prefectural border. The peak also has Okama, a caldera lake also known as Goshiki-numa, which is famous for the reflection of Zao on its emerald green waters. You can take the ropeway near to the peak, and enjoy hiking through the clumps of komakusa flowers.
