Tsutajima Island

Island
This is a small-uninhabited island about one kilometer west from the Nio Harbor. There is a larger Otsuta Island and a small Kotsuta Island, together called Tsuta Islands. The ferries only run from Nio Harbor to these nearby islands from April through October. In the summer, they are popular island that are full of visitors enjoying the beach and leisure activities. These uninhabited islands do not even have vending machines or, naturally, any form of electrically powered devices. A beach clubhouse is set up during the summer season, and visitors can purchase simple meals and snacks. The ferryboats do not run on a schedule, but rather just whenever a customer needs to be ferried. In order to return back to Shikoku Island, one must call the ferry by phone.
