Tawaraya Kashiten
This confectionery has maintained its unchanged flavor since its founding in the early Taisho era. The shop is housed in a ware-house style residence that was once a traditional Japanese restaurant, and now it offers a variety of standard sweets and seasonal treats. Their most popular item is the bite-sized Hitokuchi Manju buns, which are popularly called Ten Yen Buns. The clean, pleasant sweetness are light enough to eat every day. Their seasonal treats are also special, as they have Sakura mochi cherry rice cake in spring, shaved ice in summer, sweet potato treats in fall and in winter, they have Kintsuba sweet bean jelly. Follow Shiyakusho-dori Street past the park and look for the modern exterior.

- 蔵巡りをして駐車場に向かう途中に市役所の近くに蔵造りの立派な店舗を見つけ立ち寄ってみました。和菓子はどれも１００円前後の手頃な価格でバラ売りです。歩き疲れた時の糖分補給ということで「一口まんじゅう」を買い求めました。甘さも程良く、一個１０円という価格も魅力的です。

- 再発防止に努めて欲しいので、書き込ませて頂きます。昨日、祖母が田原屋さんで笹団子と三角巻き(20個)を買いました。美味しく頂いていたのですが、三角巻きからプラスチックの破片が出て来ました。勿論、その後は食べる気にもなれず…飲み込まなくて良かったと…。田原屋さんにお電話すると、持って来いとの事だったので…。その対応にも驚きましたが近所という事もあり、祖母は残りの三角巻き12個を持って返しに行きま...

- 素朴な和菓子が並んでいます

- 趣のあるお店で、和菓子の老舗だそうです。素朴な味のゆべし（試食あり）や一口まんじゅう（10円のようです）、どら焼き等がありました。少量の和菓子を買ったところ店内で食べるか聞かれたので、イートインができるようです。確かに席がありました。
