Anantan Reijo (Sacred place)
Ever since monk Hakushin of the Mino province trained here, this spot has been considered a holy land. Descending the stairs about 30 meters from the approach into the valley will bring you to a stone statue Yakushi Kannon-do temple. The spring bubbling up to the right of the Yakushi Kannon statue is considered holy, and is believed to cure ailments. The Ministry of the Environment designated it one of Top 100 Famous Water in Japan, and it is usually crowded with visitors.
