This Japanese confectionary shop is a five-minute walk from Ashikaga Park, a famous destination for viewing cherry and azalea blossoms. Operating out of an old-fashioned-looking establishment, the shop continues to devote itself to making yokan jelly primarily using azuki beans from Tokachi in Hokkaido. The sugar and kanten algae gelatin also used to make this yokan is carefully chosen to ensure it does not impact the flavor of the azuki beans, and customers love its simple yet deep flavor. The popular Soun Yokan is made according to an old-fashioned method in which the fresh jelly is poured into stainless steel trays to form it as it cools. This jelly has won the chief judge's award in the National Confectionary Exposition.

栗蒸羊羹がおすすめです。足利市に昔からある羊羹のお店です。足利市駅からは遠いので車がないと行きづらい。

栗蒸しようかんが絶品でした。北海道産の小豆と吉野の本葛をつなぎに使っているそうです。甘さ控え目の絶品ようかんです。

栗羊羹にしました。ごろっとした栗と甘さ控えめなあんこがマッチして気に入りました。弾力があるので食べ応えあります。プレーンのほうが安かったです。
