An Otsu-e specialty shop located in Mitsuidera-cho, Otsu City. Otsu-e is folk art images which, since the early Edo period, were created around the Otani and Oiwake areas and sold by roadsides. They depict a variety of motifs, including demons, Buddhist themes, beautiful women, and caricatures. This shop sells Otsu-e brush paintings; woodblock prints; and accessories like tenugui hand towels and sensu folding fans. The shop also accepts orders for Otsu-e commissioned works.

長等山園城寺（三井寺）守護神長等神社の参道にある大津絵の店。古民家風店前のショーウインドウに鮮やかな原色で描かれた大津絵が飾ってあります。民衆の伝統美術であった大津絵は郷土土産として知られていますが江戸時代は仏画が多くあったそうです。今は紙だけでなく絵馬や人形、茶碗などにも描かれています。是非大津絵を楽しんでください。
