Sugatani Onsen
A hot spring inn located in Sugatani-cho, Nagahama City. This little-known hot spring destination is said to have been visited in ancient times by the samurai lord Azai Nagamasa and his famous wife, Oichi. The inn has two outdoor baths constantly replenished “kakenagashi” style from a source spring. For food, the inn serves traditional kaiseki course cuisine made with seasonal ingredients; Omi beef sukiyaki and shabushabu; and, in winter, duck and boar meat hotpots. The inn also offers day trip hot spring plans which include a meal and the use of a guest room.
