Shintoyone Dam
A dam 116.5 meters tall and 311 meters long located in Kitashitara County, Aichi Prefecture. This hydroelectric dam generates electricity by exchanging water with Sakuma dam located on the main stream of the Tenryu River. A Shinto shrine dedicated to the god Sogawa Oike Daimyojin was located in a village which was submerged with the building of the dam, and a Shinto ceremony is held at the dam twice a year.
