Yotsuya Senmaida Terraced Rice Fields

These terraced rice fields, 400 years old, selected as one of the 100 Best Rice Terraces in Japan, are located at the foot of Mt. Kurakakeyama. There are approximately 420 terraced rice fields, which are irrigated with the mountain spring water and display the good old-fashioned landscape of Japan. In addition, there are temples such as Horai-ji Temple nearby, which draw many tourists.

下からの眺めは良いが展望台は・・・・

狭い道を少し上がって行くと展望台があるらしく行ってみたが全然良く無い。車は4台位は止めれてトイレはあるが眺めが全然良く無い！！下の駐車場がある所に行って少し歩くと、千枚田の良い眺めが見れます。カカシさんが居て癒されます。

駐車場はわかりづらいうえに狭く道も鋭角で停めにくいのでご注意を。上から眺める田園風景はとってものどかです。田舎出身なのでそれほど感動はありませんが子供の頃をふと思い出しました。
棚田

日本の棚田百選の１つです。今回は３月に行ったためまだ何も植えられていませんでしたが、ところどころ咲いている梅がきれいでした。やはりここは稲の季節がお薦めです。私は下から見上げる景色が好きです。無料駐車場が下にも上にもあるので便利です。
