Tsubaki Nakato Shrine

Shrine
Located in Ichinomiya-cho, Suzuka City in Mie Prefecture, this shrine is also called Isenokuni ichinomiya. Tsubaki Shrine and Nakato Shrine were merged during the Meiji period (1868-1912), and the two shrines are an example of a rarely seen shrine building dedicated to two or more deities. The front shrine burned down in 1997 and was rebuilt the next year with simple white concrete. Tsubaki Shrine worships Sarutahiko Okami, and Nakato Shrine worships Amenokuno no Mikoto and Nakatsutsunoo no Mikoto, providing blessings for safe driving, removing calamities related to unlucky directions, and better luck.
