Araya Yama-jinja Shrine
This shrine stands on the Gan-no-ana lava flow plateau located between Araya and Mt. Fuji. Built in 1534, the shrine is beloved by locals by the nickname Yama-no-kami-sama. The shrine's deity is Oyamatsumi-no-Mikoto, the guardian of mountains. Also known as a deity of industry, praying to him is said to bring about prosperity in business, prosperity in forestry, luck with money, and other benefits.
