Tateshinayama Shokoji Temple

Located in Chino City, Nagano Prefecture, this temple was founded to pray for traffic safety in 1970. There are about 300 Yoshino cherry trees on the grounds; because of the 1,200-meter elevation, they bloom somewhat late, between the end of April and early May. The temple holds its Shokoji Sakura Festival when the trees are in bloom, lighting them up in the evening.

今年の桜は早くてGW前には満開になってしまった。GWに観桜を楽しみにしていたけど、ちょっと残念。まぁ自然のものだから仕方ないけど。

蓼科の名所の一つ。TOYOTA自動車が作った、安全祈願の神社で、GWがちょうど桜の満開にあたる。桜が満開になった背景に、残雪の八ヶ岳！ここはお勧めだ。

長野県茅野市にある寺院。蓼科湖のすぐ手前にあります。昭和45年(1970年)にトヨタ自動車名誉会長の神谷正太郎氏が創建したばかりの寺院でまだ歴史は浅いけど、朱色の素敵な門やお堂が広々した境内にあります。ちょっとした回遊庭園にもなっていて素敵な場所です。ここは法相宗の寺院で、小説『西遊記』の基となった玄奘三蔵の弟子の慈恩大師基が開いた宗派で有名な薬師寺・興福寺と同じ宗派になります。数百年後に...
