Mino Ceramic Art Museum, Tajimi
This museum gives you the chance to see, learn about, and experience the history and current state of Mino-yaki Pottery. You can reach it in about 20 minutes from JR Tajimi Station by taking the Kikyo Bus and getting off at the Mino-yaki Museum Mae bus stop. It displays the work of leading Mino potters and tells the roughly 1,300-year history of Mino-yaki Pottery. Pick up a pot shard and you'll feel the pottery's weight and texture and get a good look at the thickness of the glaze and the clay. You can also have local sweets and sip matcha tea from a cup made by one of Mino's leading potters and a living national treasure.
