Mt. Moriyoshi

This is an approx. 1,454 meter high mountain in Kitaakita City, Akita Prefecture. The highest areas offer views of alpine flowers like shiraneaoi (glaucidium palmatum) and hinazakura cherry. Chosen as one of Japan's 100 Best Flower Mountains, it's very popular with climbers in the blossom season. There is also a very popular gondola to the peak.

Note: *The time, cost, parking, etc. will vary depending on the use (climbing from the base of the mountain, using the gondola, skiing, winter, summer, etc.). For example, if you climb from the base of the mountain, you do not have to pay, but if you use the gondola to climb the mountain, you will have to pay for the gondola. Please check the winter brochure for the current season.
