A museum dedicated to Chieko Takamura, poet and wife of sculptor Kotoaro Takamura, located in Yui Urushihara-machi, Nihommatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture. The museum design is modeled after a sake brewery and displays drawings and paintings. Occasionally, the living room used by the artist located on the second floor, normally closed to the public, is specially opened for viewing. The facility also holds workshops on making papercut art, postcards, and bookmarks with Kamikawasaki washi paper, attracting many visitors.

5年ぶりの訪問でした。今回は病に侵された智恵子の紙絵をゆっくり鑑賞、素朴でイノセントな紙絵はどこか儚く、言葉を失った智恵子の想いを伝えているような気がしました。
智恵子の生家と資料館

生家を移動させることはかなり難しいと思うので、どないしようもないと思いますが、なんせ遠い…。智恵子抄をお芝居で観たことはあったのですが、本では読んだことがありません。高村光太郎の妻、智恵子の生家で資料館を見学していると智恵子の苦しさが伝わってきます。本を読んでいなくても高村光太郎の妻ということを知っていたら意外と楽しめると思います。
