Showa Gentokan located six minutes’ walk from Ome Station is a museum. It is an annex for the Showa Retro Packaging Museum nearby. It holds a permanent exhibition for Q-kobo, a unit originating in Ome by Hiromi Arita, a sumie (Indian ink drawing) artist and Chabo Arita, a stuffed toy artist. It displays many sumie and stuffed toys with a cat motif.

猫をメインキャラクターにした作品が並んでいます。昭和の青梅とは余り関係がない。場所も狭く入館料には価しないと感じました。

青梅駅南側にある商店街の中の小さい博物館。旧青梅街道沿いの店で、近所には昭和レトロ商品博物館や青梅赤塚不二夫会館もあり、昭和のままの佇まいで営業する素敵なお店でした。立ち寄りませんでしたが猫に関連した展示物やお土産・グッズを販売してる店のようでした。怪しげな店頭も昭和幻燈館の雰囲気に合っていて良いですね。昭和レトロ商品博物館の別館のようです。入館料は250円。開館時間は10-17時で、月...

小さな建物ではありますが、猫やジオラマ好きの方には大変おススメの場所だと思います。ジオラマ撮影でずっと遊んでいられました。
