Genkozan Meisekiji Temple
This is a Tendaijimon school temple in Uwa-cho in Seiyo City, Ehime Prefecture and is 43rd temple of the 88 sacred places on the Shikoku Pilgrimage. It is said to have originally been built as the great Buddhist temple at the behest of Emperor Kimmei around the 6th century in order to deify the statue of the thousand-armed kannon that came to Japan from China. Following this, it became a Shugendo mountain worship training hall but it was laid to waste and then revived by Kobo Daishi. It is also known as a temple with connections to Minamoto no Yorimoto. There are many things to see in the grounds including the Kobo Well with connections to Kobo Daishi and the Happy Kannon Statue which has a benevolent expression.

- 納経(印を頂くのに)に相当な時間を要する寺院です

- 遍路寺としては、伝承ですが、約１５００年の歴史を有する古寺中の古寺なんで、申し分ないのだが・・・問題は過去に８回もここへ遍路で参拝しているが、いずれの時も何故、納経印貰うのにこれだけの時間がかかるのか？さっぱり理解出来ない。他と少し遅いとか云う次元ではなく、相当、遅い、倍以上かかる。不思議な納経所です。お遍路さんを初めとして、先達各位からも同様の声(不満)が上がっているはずなのに・・・一向に改善さ...

- 古刹のような苔生したお寺です。JR卯之町の駅からだいたい30分で歩いて行けます。山の中腹なので10分ほど登りますが急登ではないので穏やかに登れます。他の方の口コミにもありますが、お遍路で回られている場合、納経所ですごく時間がかかります。拘りがおありなのでしょうが、私の時は洗濯バサミで止めたりタオルを敷いたり、面を平行にするのにまず時間がかかり、筆を持っては向きを変えたり、筆を下ろすまでに結局4分...

- 第４３番札所 明石寺２日目最後のおまいりです。高速のインターチェンジからは車で１０分ほど、１７時少し前に到着です。広い駐車所がありますが境内までは徒歩で５分ほど、少しあります。源頼朝にもゆかりがあるという古刹、思った以上に趣があり見ごたえ充分でしたが夕暮れ時だったので駆け足で参拝しました。
